Johanninger is located in the picturesque wine town of Biebelsheim, between the historic towns of Bingen on the Rhine and Bad Kreuznach on the Nahe. This ideal geographical location allows them to own vineyards spanning both the Nahe and Rheinhessen regions, and the fields are just a few steps from the farm.
For them, the love of nature is an inseparable part of being a winemaker. It is not just a profession, but a passion and a commitment that guides their work day after day. Since 2013, Johanninger has been certified organic, and they have always strived to cultivate their vineyards with respect for the environment and sustainability.
Most of their grapes are hand-harvested and treated with care to preserve their full potential. In their deep, impressively vaulted cellars, cellar master Oliver Herzer creates wines that are almost exclusively dry, reflecting both craftsmanship and tradition.
